Frank’s Barber Shop
Frank’s barber shop in the East End (near the Belgian Beer Cafe). No appointment necessary, just roll up, sit down and read the paper until you’re called up.
Once you’re in the chair, Frank goes to work trimming your shabby locks with power and efficiency. Frank’s not one to force you into mindless chit chat while he works, so if you’re not in the mood for banter you can just sit back and chill out to the easy listening songs on the radio playing in the corner.
In no time at all (around 15 minutes) you’re looking suave and sophisticated, or at least like you’ve had a haircut. But Frank’s not done yet, out comes the shaving cream and cut throat razor to trim up the edges of your ‘do’ and once the edges are shaved, a dose of aftershave finishes the haircut.
Lastly to conclude the experience, Frank then uses a brush and talcum powder to remove any loose hair from your neck and clothing so you can go back to work feeling fresh and tidy. This experience can be had 6 days a week for only $15, a bargain in my book.

Unfortunately every time I've been here there's a long(ish) line up. I'll have to give it a try some time.
