Penang Hawkers Cafe

They’re back, well they never actually left they just expanded into the old Player’s Bar, which is more accurately called 110 Grenfell, the owners of the famous Penang Hawker’s Corner have started a new business and named it Penang Hawkers Cafe. While they don’t have take away at this place they do have all the favourites from the other Penang Hawker’s locations. My suggestion to anyone eating here would be to steer clear of anything seafood. Stick to the beef rendang, which is awesome, and the pork rolls which are great too. It does seem a bit weird to be eating at an asian restaurant in the middle of one of the dodgiest pubs in adelaide, but the prices are right and the food is good, so give it a go…

• The beef rendang is excellent
• Cheap meals on a budget
• Happy hour between 12-2pm

Cons

• Have to get your own cutlery
• Have to line up to order food and then line up to order drinks
• Stairs are hard to climb after being a gluttonous pig
