Rocket Bar

Went and saw the Hiptones and the Transatlantics at the Rocket Bar on January 2nd, 2010. Rocket Bar is such a great little venue, always good music, reasonably priced drinks and an excellent vibe. On this particular night the bar was quite packed with an eclectic mix of young, old, fashionable and alternative types. With everyone enjoying the live music. As the particular night we visited was a funk/soul extravaganza evening, the DJs played great sets from good old music legends, as well as some chilled out funky beats to get the crowd in the mood for the main act.

The service was quite good, with it being pretty easy to get a drink, even considering it was probably a sell out. Overall I give the Rocket Bar a 7.5 out of 10. An excellent live music venue in one of Adelaide’s most vibrant streets.
